If Monday is too big a dose to take it all together, try doing it hour by hour.

Happy Monday. May your week unfold beautifully, hour by hour.
A gentle reminder that when Monday feels like too much, try to find an hour for something that will bring you joy.

If Monday is too big a dose to take it all together, try doing it hour by hour.

Two medical appointments in one week have given me a quiet reminder to face whatever comes with a clear mind, a steady heart and a little courage.
“Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
I’ve a hospital appointment later today. It’s my post-surgery check-in with the consultant.
Very likely, it will be a box-ticking exercise. Nevertheless, it’s important to attend and be proactive in my recovery.
I’ve a second appointment later this week, a telephone appointment for a different issue. Last April I had an MRI for possible prostate trouble. I’m at that age. The scan showed that everything is good, and the telephone appointment is a follow-up check-in.
In all my years, I don’t think I’ve had two medical appointments in such quick succession.

Although the quote is not directly related to my situation, I’m choosing to keep it in mind as I progress through the week.

How we live life matters more than the circumstances we are given.
“The value of life does not depend upon the place we occupy. It depends upon the way we occupy that place.”
~ St. Thérèse of Lisieux
