Hello, I’m Páraig.
I garden mostly for enjoyment, occasionally for food, and sometimes just to see what will happen if I leave something alone and hope for the best. This blog is a record of what works, what doesn’t, and what somehow survives anyway.
You’ll find seasonal garden notes, favourite plants, small victories, and the odd quiet triumph over weeds. There’s no perfection here — just practical gardening, mild optimism, light humour, a steady supply of wet compost and dry wit.

If you’re curious about my non-gardening adventures, they live quietly over at Páraig de Búrca On The Move, where I pretend exercise is as predictable as plants. There, you’ll come across plenty cycling and running updates.
I have a third space called Reflections. It’s my writing space where I slow down and allow myself to write-think. It’s less about answers and more about noticing. I ask questions, linger with them, and quietly invite the reader to do the same. No rush. No preaching. Just curiosity.
In line with social media trends, I have scaled back quite a lot. After consideration, the only place I share my gardening articles is on X (formerly Twitter). Here’s the link to find me.
Páraig,
December 2025.
