Here’s the latest information about my posts not appearing in Reader.
Response from WordPress Support Agent:
I have checked 11 consecutive posts published between September 1 and 12, and they are all present. I also found no privacy, spam, mature-content, publishing, or Reader restrictions affecting the site.
The issue may be related to older Reader subscriptions not refreshing correctly after the site moved to its custom domain.
As a workaround, affected subscribers can:
- Sign in to their WordPress.com account.
- Open your current Reader page:
https://wordpress.com/reader/blogs/250951021 - If the site is already marked as Following, unfollow it.
- Follow it again to refresh the subscription.
I needed clarification about one thing…
Am I correct in thinking this needs to be done in a browser rather than within Jetpack?
Yes, that’s correct! Using a web browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) to visit the direct Reader link is the most reliable way for subscribers to refresh their subscription following a domain update.
However, subscribers can also unfollow and re-follow directly within the WordPress or Jetpack mobile app if they prefer:
- Open the app and tap the Reader tab at the bottom.
- Tap Following (or manage subscriptions) to find your blog.
- Unfollow the blog, search for padraigdeburca.com, and tap Follow to refresh.
Please let us know if any subscribers continue to run into trouble after trying this!
Therefore, as is suggested above, please let me know in comments if you are still unable to see my posts in WordPress Reader.
P.
